Armed with $109 million more in funding and 200 additional compliance and enforcement personnel, the DOL's Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs is targeting government contractors and subcontractors for discrimination and affirmative action violations.

Consider these two rules recently proposed by the OFCCP:

  • Affirmative Action and Nondiscrimination Obligations of Contractors and Subcontractors Regarding Protected Veterans: This first rule drastically increases contractor obligations in data collection and implementation of affirmative action plans under the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act.
  • Proposed Extension of the Approval of Information Collection Requirements Comment Request: This second rule would demand that contractors and subcontractors provide more specific, detailed information about their proposed anti-discrimination and affirmative action plans.

Learn how to spot the red flags in your affirmative action and anti-harassment programs before OFCCP watchdogs do with the all-new HR Hero webinar Federal Contractor's Affirmative Action Plan: How to Prepare for New OFCCP Enforcement.
