The number of women in the workforce is increasing at a faster rate than men; in fact, they will make up 48 percent of the workforce by 2010.

About 80% of them will become pregnant during their working lives. Furthermore, more workers are caring for their young kids and aging parents at the same time. These challenges have resulted in the creation of FMLA. While a great benefit for employees, FMLA has often proved to be challenging to manage for employers.

This workshop will provide an overview of FMLA and its provisions, as well as guidelines for how to manage its use effectively.
