California Labor Code 6401.7(a) requires every employer to establish, implement, and maintain an effective injury prevention program. Monthly Inspection Checklists completed by a member of the safety committee or a supervisor detailing the inspection, what hazards were noted, and corrective action taken. These inspection lists should be reviewed by safety committee members and management. Comments and input from employees should be reviewed by safety committee members, supervisors, and management.
