California Guide to Preventing Sexual Harassment (PowerPoint)

If you are an employer in California with 50 or more employees, two recently enacted sexual harassment laws (AB1825 and GC12950.1) mandate that you train all supervisory level staff employed as of 7/1/05 with at least two hours of prevention training - by 1/1/06. The required training must be repeated no less than once every two years for each and every supervisory employee.

This new BLR PowerPoint Training kit makes it easy to deliver the newly mandated required training. It explains the Federal and California laws and discusses types of sexual harassment—tangible employment action and hostile environment —including realistic examples of each. Shows how sexual harassment affects a whole company, plus what each person can do to recognize and stop it.

California Guide to Preventing Sexual Harassment covers:

  • California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) regulations
  • Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) guidelines
  • Types & forms of Sexual Harassment
  • Employer and Employee rights and responsibilities
  • Investigative procedures & help resources
    • Kit includes all this:
    • A 43-slide PowerPoint CD with detailed speaker’s notes
    • 20 copies of 44-page employee-training pocket guide

Click 'n Train Spanish/English Edition: Sexual Harassment - What Employees Need to Know PowerPoint

According to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) employers are always responsible for sexual harassment by a supervisor that leads to a tangible employment action. If no tangible employment action occurs, employers are still responsible unless they can prove two things:

    • They took reasonable steps to prevent and correct sexual harassment, including establishing a complaint procedure for employees to follow.
    • The employee did not make a reasonable effort to complain to management or to protect himself or herself from harm. The new Click 'n Train PowerPoint Presentation will help train employees in Spanish and English on what they need to know - the dangers of sexual harassment, how to recognize the various types of sexual harassment, what to do if they are a witness to or a victim of sexual harassment in the workplace, and their role in preventing it from becoming a problem in your organization.

The Spanish/English Sexual Harassment presentation includes:

    • A fully prepared PowerPoint presentation
    • Reproducible handouts and quiz in Spanish and English
    • Completion Certificate in Spanish and English
    • Easy-to-customize PowerPoints
    • Interactive exercises
    • Trainer's outlines
